TrueHEARt DevelopMEnt is an organizational program founded on March 25, 2023, and Chartered on the Campus of Tennessee State University on January 8, 2024. Our mission is aimed towards creating a safe place for those suffering from mental health or stress to come and enjoy stress relief activities, care packages, and mental health awareness.
The goals of TrueHEARt DevelopMEnt include creating a space that provides a source of healing and strength for those suffering from mental health struggles and illnesses. We aim to empower the campus community and for each individual heart to be strengthened through our organization so that they may become their own support system and continue the process to help the next person that is struggling as they once did.
Through our organization, we hope to empower each person's heart within the campus community, enabling them to become their own source of support and aid others who experience similar struggles through community service, leadership & sister and brotherhood.

Opening up and asking for help is not easy and to do that you have to be vulnerable in both scenarios. Confide in someone you trust and can rely on. If you don’t have anyone to talk to, you can journal, meditate, or talk to the higher power you believe in. Remember to learn and love yourselves to find the peace within, but genuine help is always welcome.
